Return & Exchange Policy

Return, Exchange and Cancellation Policy

For Cotton, Silk Cotton & Other Products:

  • As a policy we do not provide money refund or exchange on any product sold
  • Once the products are sold, they can be exchanged/returned against store credit only

(Store Credit is the amount of refund given back to the customer in the form of a coupon code. This store credit has a lifetime validity and can be fully redeemed against the value of your future orders on the website)  

  • Once the order is booked the same cannot be cancelled

How do we exchange against store credit?

A customer proceeding with a store credit request adhering to the conditions (** listed below) can request for store credit in the form of a coupon code which can be redeemed against the value of your future orders on the website

Once the customer raises a store credit request and gets approved by us, we will schedule a pick up for the product from customer’s doorsteps. It takes approximately 5 to 7 working days for any returned product to reach us. Once it reaches us, we will do a quality check of the product and then generate a coupon code

Coupon code will be shared via mail and will bear the value after deducting Rs.100/- for the return shipping cost from the purchase value. Customer can place a fresh order in the website by entering this coupon code

Conditions **

  1. Defective Package - If you have received the product in a bad condition or if the packaging is tampered with, please refuse the package. Please do apply for return using the link Return & Store credit The replacement will be issued to you with no additional cost
  2. Defective Product - If you receive any defective product, do raise a return immediately using this link Return & Store credit Please do upload snapshot of the defect. The replacement will be issued to you with no additional cost
  3. Timeline for Store credit Request - Exchange/Store Credit request should be raised within 7 days of receiving the product (Including the delivery day). Any request beyond this time period will not be accepted
  4. Approval – Once the request is processed, you will receive an approval mail from us within 2 working days
  5. Time of Pick up - The product will be picked within 2-3 working days from the date of approval. In case we do not have pick up service available at customer’s location, customer has to self-ship the product. 
  1. Product Condition - The items should be unused and unwashed 
  2. Packaging - The product should have the original packaging along with the cloth bag and invoice
  1. Tracking of Returning Package – You can track the package in transit with the tracking link sent via mail. You will be notified by us, once we receive your shipment
  2. Quality Check - Once we have received the products a quality check will be done by our team
  3. Store Credit – Once the quality check is through, we will provide you a store credit bearing the value of the returned product excluding any shipping cost paid at the time of placing an order.

This coupon will have lifetime validity and can be used while placing orders in the website. The store credit will have been emailed to you on the email id with which you shopped on our website. Please check the junk/spam folder too. You can use the store credit/credit note upon checking out. Please insert the code in “gift card or discount code” section and select apply

  1. Thenmozhi Designs reserves the right to refuse a store credit request if the product is not received in its original condition or is received damaged or has been found to be used

For Silk Sarees:

  1. Please note that as a policy we do not entertain money refunds or exchange under any circumstance
  2. In exceptional situations when a product exchange is required, it can only be processed through store credit. Please note that we offer exchange facilities under exceptional circumstances only once per order. We regretfully cannot accept repetitive exchange requests
  3. (Store Credit is the amount of refund given back to the customer in the form of a coupon code. This store credit has a life time validity and can be fully redeemed against the value of your future orders on the website)
  4. Once the order is booked the same cannot be cancelled
  5. In the case of International shipments the customer intends to exchange/return the product under exceptional circumstance, the shipping, customs or any other additional charges on the returning product will have to be borne by the customer. Store credit will be given only for the value of the product adjusted for the above mentioned return costs
  6. Special/Customised orders if any taken up are made specifically on customer requests and therefore cannot be cancelled or exchanged once the order is placed

Conditions **

  1. Defective Package - All our products are thoroughly quality checked and packed hamper proof. Should you notice any tampered or damaged package while receiving, we request you to take pictures of the same and return it to the shipping carrier. Accepting such a tampered package will be deemed that the product was received in a good condition. Please do write to us about the issue along with photos within 24 hours of refusal
  2. Defective Product - We conduct a thorough quality check on all products before shipping them. However, in the unlikely event that you receive a damaged product, please email our customer care within 24 hours of delivery to initiate the return procedure
  3. It is mandatory to provide us with an opening video for exchange requests concerning defective or damaged goods
  4. Upon receiving the product, Thenmozhi Designs will thoroughly inspect it to ensure it was not damaged due to any actions on the part of the Customer and check for signs of use. Based on this inspection, Thenmozhi Designs will proceed with either issuing a credit note or facilitating an exchange/replacement for the product

Timeline for Store Credit Request

  1. Please be aware that exchanges are only possible within 7 days including the date of delivery. Any requests beyond this duration will not be entertained.
  2. The product must be in unused and unwashed condition, exactly as received. Please make sure the product is folded in the same manner as when it was delivered, and all the tags are kept intact
  3. The product should have the original packaging along with the cloth bag and invoice
  4. Please be aware that sarees with detached blouse or tasseling done are not eligible for exchanges


Requests for returns based on the following reasons will not be entertained:

  1. Change in Decision
    Disliking the product or changing one's mind after placing the order does not qualify for exchange/cancellation
  2. Color Perception
    The colors you see on your device may vary due to individual device settings, such as color reproduction, brightness, resolution, and temperature. Colors can also appear differently due to variations in the color of threads used on the warp and weft. When two different hues come together, they may mix to become an entirely different color or give a double color effect when seen on our website.
    We do not accept exchanges based on color perception concerns
  3. Handloom Imperfections
    All our products are meticulously handcrafted and any minor variations encountered within the same product are a result of this artisanal process. These variations should not be regarded as imperfections; rather they are the unique characteristics of our handwoven sarees, each of which is a masterpiece of art
  4. Imperfections Include the following -
    The small knots or bumps in threads that may occur when broken threads are pieced together are not considered defects.
    The uneven threads connecting the border to the body are not considered defects
    Slubs, which are residual threads bundled together in tiny knots, are not considered defects
    Minute gaps in and around motifs, as well as minute thread gaps around a motif and in the body/pallu, are not considered defects|
    Attached or 'running' blouses may vary in length due to differences in woven warp lengths. The measurements of these are explicitly mentioned on our online store as part of a product's description

Thenmozhi Designs retains the right to decline an exchange request if the reasons are deemed invalid or if the product is not in its original condition

Return Process

  1. To initiate an exchange, please raise an exchange request in the link.....
  2. Approval – Once the request is processed, you will receive an approval mail from us within 2 working days
  3. Time of Pick up - The product will be picked within 2-3 working days from the date of approval. In case we do not have pick up service available at customer’s location, customer has to self-ship the product. 
  4. Tracking of Returning Package – You can track the package in transit with the tracking link sent via mail. You will be notified by us, once we receive your shipment
  5. Quality Check - Once we have received the products a quality check will be done by our team
  6. Store Credit – Once the quality check is through, we will provide you a store credit bearing the value of the returned product

Return & Exchange Policy (International Orders)

  1. In case the customer intends to return the products, the shipping, customs or any other additional charges will have to be borne by the customer. Once we receive the products a quality check will be done by our team. Please make sure that the original product tag and packing is intact when you courier it back to us
  2. Once the quality check is through, we will provide you a coupon code that will cover only the product value. Shipping charges (forward & reverse shipment) will have to be borne by the customer
  3. If you receive any defective product, do contact us immediately by mailing us at mail@thenmozhidesigns.com with your Order ID and send us a snapshot of the defect. We will either provide you store credit or refund the amount of that defected product

Handloom Imperfections
All our products are meticulously handcrafted and any minor variations encountered within the same product are a result of this artisanal process. These variations should not be regarded as imperfections; rather they are the unique characteristics of our handwoven sarees, each of which is a masterpiece of art

Imperfections include the following -

  • Holes are the handloom marks found on the selvedge of the saree. This is the uniqueness of the product.
  • The small knots or bumps in threads that may occur when broken threads are pieced together are not considered defects.
  • The uneven threads connecting the border to the body are not considered defects
  • Slubs, which are residual threads bundled together in tiny knots, are not considered defects
  • Minute gaps in and around motifs, as well as minute thread gaps around a motif and in the body/pallu, are not considered defects
  • Thenmozhi Designs retains the right to decline an exchange request if the reasons are deemed invalid or if the product is not in its original condition.
Returns in Local Delivery Services
  • It is important for the delivery address & contact number to be correct on the website
  • Any breach or irregular marking of delivery address in the local delivery system due to technical issues needs to be supported by customer by being available on calls with the delivery agent
  • Incorrect address and unavailability over calls during the delivery times will lead to return of the shipment
  • Under such return circumstances, the reverse shipment and the next forward shipment charges have to be paid by the customer
  • This shipment service will be available only on business days
  • Incase shipments are not delivered to you correctly, it needs to be escalated to us immediately. Delay in reporting will not be entertained
